The fire broke out Tuesday night at a home on Main Street in the city. Officials say everyone made it out of the house safely.
A city fire official tells WGRZ-TV that the teenagers and adults living in the house are all refugees, but didn't say which country or countries they are from.
Division Chief Jack Hess says the home's residents included high-school age exchange students and several adults. He says all have been provided temporary housing by the Red Cross.
Officials say the fire caused more than $50,000 in damage.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
