To kick-start National Volunteer Week 2011, this April 9th and 10th, FASNY encourages your department to open its doors to the public with an open house to introduce members of your community to the volunteer fire service and recruit more members.

FASNY understands how vital recruitment is to the volunteer fire service and needs your help to make these efforts a success. It’s going to take everyone’s participation to reverse the recent decline pattern in the number of people volunteering. Please get your local department involved and invite your community to attend.
