Rotations will include:
Vent, Enter & Search (VES): ALL members will safely conduct a VES operation under zero-visibility conditions while using SCBA. Don’t wait until 3am with a mother screaming and pointing, “My daughter is in that
room!” to “try” this operation for your first time!
RIT/FAST Packaging & Removal Techniques: ALL members will participate in discussions and demonstrations on packaging methods for removing downed firefighters. Members will then practice these techniques by extricating and removing firefighters from various scenarios.
Conventional Forcible Entry: This segment allows firefighters to force an inward and an outward opening door using the systematic approach to forcible entry. While not as in-depth as our 8-hour Basic Forcible Entry operations rotation, it allows ALL members to receive hands-on time forcing doors.
