The International Association of Women in Fire & Emergency Services (iWomen) is pleased to announce that their 2010 Leadership Conference will be co-located with Fire-Rescue International, August 23-24 at the Hilton Chicago/McCormick Place.

iWomen’s 2010 Leadership Conference offers a wide variety of workshops focused on leadership topics that are relevant to both new and seasoned fire service personnel working in career and volunteer departments.

This educational conference is designed for both women and men who are currently:
• Fire Chiefs
• Company Officers
• Firefighters
• Paramedics
• Human Relations Officers

Keynote Speaker: Laura A. Liswood
We are pleased to announce the keynote address for this year’s conference will be given by given by Laura A. Liswood on Monday, August 23rd. Ms. Liswood’s latest book, The Loudest Duck, is a business guide that explores workplace diversity and uses practical stories to offer an alternate, nuanced approach to diversity to create a truly effective workplace for all (Wiley & Sons, November 2009).

Ms. Liswood will sign copies of her book following her keynote address.
