Women Firefighters From Around the Globe Meet in Omaha
On Wednesday, May 13, 2009, the biannual conference of the International Association of Women in Fire & Emergency Services (iWomen) will begin at the Omaha Hilton.
For four days, women firefighters from around the world will participate in this premiere educational event, which provides attendees with hands-on fire training (tactics and communication, vehicle extrication, etc.), instruction on fireground safety, leadership and career classes, mentoring workshops and more. Fire chiefs, company officers, firefighters, paramedics, public safety officers, human relations officers and municipal managers are encouraged attend this one-of-a-kind program.
