The Potwin Fire Department is hosting a benefit Poker Run and Dinner to help raise money for Robert and his family. Pre-registration is $25 for single rider $30.00 with a passenger. Bikers will begin riding at 3:00 p.m. Last bike needs to be out by 3:30 p.m. All Bikes will need to return by 5:30 p.m. Prizes will be awarded after everyone returns around 6:00 p.m. Dinner will be available for sale.

Fire Fighter Robert Wilkinson was seriously injured in April in a vehicle accident during a severe thunderstorm. Robert lost control of the car he was driving and rolled it into a tree, Robert spent several weeks at St. Francis Hospital and for the past couple of months has been at the Lady of Lords Rehabilitation center. Robert had a brain shear injury resulting in him having to re-learn everything. Robert also served as a Marine until he was medically discharged duet to an injury. His family is struggling with the piling medical bills and having to drive back and forth from Potwin to Wichita. He is going to be moved to another neurological Rehab center in Minneapolis.
