The Windy City ThunderBolts are proud to join 115 Bourbon Street and Chicago Firefighters Union Local #2 in sponsoring the 5th Annual Big City Baseball Classic!



Watch the Chicago Fire Department’s Bravest Baseball Club take on the Fire Department of New York’s Bravest Baseball Club to raise money for Ignite the Spirit, CFD’s support fund for Chicago firefighters and their families.



The fun begins at 7:00 pm on August 19 and August 20 at our Standard Bank Stadium, home of the Windy City ThunderBolts. Come one or both nights to watch this exciting, friendly but competitive annual match up between the big-city, fire-fighting brotherhoods. There will be plenty of entertainment for the whole family! Tickets are only $5.00, and the concessions stands will be open, too.



This will be the 5th year that Chicago’s Bravest Baseball Club has hosted FDNY’s Bravest Baseball Club to raise funds for charity. Last year’s games raised nearly $4,000 for the International Association of Firefighters (IAFF), in memory of the nine Charleston, SC firefighters who lost their lives in the line of duty last June. This year, the series hope to raise even more for CFD’s Ignite the Spirit.
