Working Vehicle Fire (4) Helmet Cameras

Engine 221 responds to a vehicle fire on Rt. 46 in Beryl, WV. On 5/16/2010 at approximately 1700 hours Station 22 was dispatched for mutual aid to Beryl, Wv on a vehicle. Engine 221 responded with 6 volunteers and D/C Kight. An older model camper truck was pulling a trailer with a couple ATVs. The vehicles rear tire caught fire due to rubbing on the wheel wells. The driver was able to uncouple the trailer from the camper truck and pull the vehicle away from the trailer before the fire got too much for him to stay in the camper. Engine 24-11 arrived on the scene and advised of a fully involved camper truck. 24's crew pulled a bumper attack line to knock the fire down. The 22 crew arrived and assisted the attack crew with opening up the camper to allow the fire attack crews to put the fire out. The camper was completely destroyed however the trailer and the ATVs were not damaged. Units on the scene were Engine 24, Engine 361, Engine 221, Tanker 22, and EMS 50.
