does anyone still use the old ranger rubber boots?

Not sure how old you mean, but that's what we're issued at my department. I wouldn't call them old though, oldest sets are probably 6 years old.

Some members of my department use new rubber boots from a variety of manufacturers.  Most of the members purchase their leather boots of choice and keep the rubber ones for hazmat, station chores, or simply turn them in to Supply.

 

I wear a personal pair of Black Diamond X2's - IMHO the best fire boots you can get.

i wear the thorgood hell fire boots but my spare gear has the ranger boots that look like you would wear them to the barn

Only one member in my department still wears rubber boots...everyone else has switched to leather

I have both but its been a while since I heard them called that. I will go no further.

The only rubber boots I will put my feet into are the 3/4 boots I use when doing non-fire instruction at the academy.  Buy yourself a good pair of leathers and your feet will thank you.
