what do u mean by table top training
We have done command schools as table tops. We take pictures of our local buildings and can project them with smoke and flames. They can escalate the incident or contain it depending on the classes decisions.

We use old matchbox cars, to help with truck placement. It seem s to work, great for the winter time.
I had recently conducted a table top drill of an acquired structure in our are. It definitely gets the guys thinking and you definitely separate the ones that pay attention and those that are just along for the ride.
I have done some table top classes we used a sand box with a few toy trees and other objects to practice wild fire operations. With that you can practice attacking and truck placement. you can also practice incident command operations. we also have done some MVA table top games for vehicle placment
Table top training is a great way to get those "mental slides" needed for decision making.
