Do your departments have any special tools or techniques that you use from drafting from moving water sources such as rivers or creeks?

Clogged nozzles are no fun!Especially when your're the one on the knob.
I personally like the floating Pump 425 GPM. When we have an area that isn't truck accessible this works great. We can feed a truck with this or hook up a water thief and feed some handlines when fighting grass fires on the numerous islands we cover. We also use the ball trick for the vortex.

Hey we all have our areas of "specialty"....We wouldn't have a clue in attacking a high rise....but the urban folks might find a good hot barn fire a nasty experience....They might look at a trailer fire as a fully involved structure fire...where we look at it as an occupied flash over simulator.....BUT we have one important thing in common...we all fight the same beast with everything that we have....where they might have resourses that allow for specialized units we have to be a jack of all trades....so lets not get on each other...lets admire what we each do best...and maybe share some tips along the way.....
"occupied flashover simulator" ROTFLMAO

How does one add a picture to their replies. I tried copy image but that didn't work.
click on the camera at the top of the text box

or even right mouse click (PC) on a picture and copy it then in the text box right mouse click paste it... then save

Thanks Heather, gonna pick your brain again. When it says you have 15 minutes to redo your post, how do you do it? Sorry to be a pest
