Seems like 200 is starting out to be a very rough year.

Just from the announcements I have seen, an FDNY Lt died in a high rise fire. A Scranton PA firefighter dies while fighting a residential structure fire. This morning a Penn Hills (PA) firefighter died after collapsing at the station while responding to a call.

This job that we do, whether we do it as a paid profession or as volunteers, remains one of if not the most dangerous job in the Country.

Please, let's be careful out there. And keep an eye on each other.

God bless the fallen, their families, and their departments.

Indeed. We all know there are dangers we will face that we have no control over. There are many dangers and many deaths/accidents than can be prevented if we will step up and take some action.
- Wear your PPE
- stop at stops signs and red lights
- watch the speed limit and road hazards, conditions
- do not allow other distractions in your rig
- wear your seatbelt
- stay in shape

Take care of yourselves so someone else won't have to. Remember, Everyone Goes Home.

God be with those who are suffering and Bless those who have passed.
