Big fire, big water. Where is the arial, deck gun, blitz line? It is going to take a long time with those 1 3/4 lines. But for all I know they are setting them up right and just are not into the picture yet. Easy to be a monday morning quarter back. :)

If water was not a problem, then why was there not at least a 2 inch flowing between these two structures knocking down the biggest part of the fire? And I don't see any interior lines in either structure to push the fire out. What in the world was going on here? Was there a lack of manpower?

No, it was a forward lay. This road is right off the main drag into the neighborhood. The fire started along a fence in between the two residences. The homes are approx 10 ft away from the back fence. It is a cluster home type community. As far as protecting the exposures.....Fahad.....As you can tell, the house on the VERY far left is protected....hints the attack line aiming between the two, and the home on the right has 2 lines on it, one of which you cannot see because it is headed toward the back side of the house. Water supply was NO problem, as you can see the 5 inch on the ground....

Did Apparatus reverse out from this fire? Or are these exposures? I see the supply line.

It is for this reason that as a fire marshal, I do not like nor approve of reductions in water supply requirements in new developments as trade offs for sprinkler protection. Imagine that you're the incident commander of this incident and there is insufficient water to protect the exposures? What do you do now?

You can already see the building on the very left also has some damage this could very well be 3 structures involved.

Very good picture. Sometimes despite your best efforts, sh..tuff happens. Tough job this one. It could have been worse though.
