very good quote, that is painted on the bay doors so when your sittin in the trucks to open the doors its the last thing you see as you leave the station.
I can think of no more stirring symbol of man's humanity to man than a fire engine. ~Kurt Vonnegut
Seems to me the basic conflict between men and women, sexually, is that men are like firemen. To men, sex is an emergency, and no matter what we're doing we can be ready in two minutes. Women, on the other hand, are like fire. They're very exciting, but the conditions have to be exactly right for it to occur. ~Jerry Seinfeld
What is a firefighter?
He's the guy next door....
He's a guy like you and me with warts and worries and unfulfilled dreams.
Yet he stands taller than most of us.
He's a fireman....
A fireman is at once the most fortunate and the least fortunate of men.
He's a man who saves lives because he has seen too much death.
He's a gentle man because he has seen the awesome power of violence out of control.
He's responsive to a child's laughter because his arms have held too many small bodies that will never laugh again....
He doesn't preach the brotherhood of man.
He lives it.

Coined by Rob Dyrdek and his personal body guard Christopher "Big Black" Boykins, "Do Work" works as a self motivator, to motivating your friends. It ranges from, but is not limited to "taking a dump" and "Nailing" a skateboarding trick. The possibilities for this phrase are endless, you just have to know how to use it. Also, D.W, short for "Do Work" can be used as well.
I'm gonna date myself with this one, It's a quote from Chief Brunacini who I consider to be "The Guru" of the fire service. Apologies to all of the new/current instructors but I'm a "old timer" and have taken classes from Brunacini when I was just a pup in the game. The quote goes something like this..........."An engine without a secured water supply is nothing but a 500 gallon tanker." I think it's pretty deep if you think about it.
