As we get closer to that time again and old man winter is upon us we all need to sharpen up on what we may face on and off the roads and be aware of these big tonka-toys that run 24 hr's a day. Up North these trucks are very well known and down South we see more sand trucks. As everyone knows preventive maintenance on our rescue tools should be a priority and not forget our trucks and if your run chains or some type of insta chains. Public Awareness cant say that enough!!!!

i live in the texas panhandles and we get snow storms maybe four times a year if we are lucky. i'm not upset because i like it in the 70's all the time. but really our many thing is the drivers around here just drive crazy like the roads are dry. with the snow plow and sand trucks the state does ok. i watch dozens of drivers each year have 10-50 because they just don't slow down.
we havent had one durring the time that i have been on and never thought much about it ill have to bring it up to my captian for our next training.

great job and info
Snow and Ice? Whats that? Chains? Huh? Is that what you get in the cones with the flavors on a hot sunny day?
Here on the West coast snow and Ice is something you folks way over there have.
It's what I like to refer to as "White Hell".
