Hey everybody- just wondering what, if anything, you all do as a dept for Halloween. We take out our apparatus and ride around and hand out candy to trick-or-treaters, while at the same time keeping an eye out for suspicious activity. Its the whole "the more eyes watching the better" idea. Anyway, what do you all do?

Better yet, if the engine has strobes, leave them on for your dance routine!
Our trucks and personnel stay in service in their stations waiting for calls.
How do you explain it to their parents when the "kiddies" have aged 20 years before you bring them back to the fire station?
I just take off, stay at home, and turn the heat up so that I don't get cold wearing only the Overhaul Thong. Nothing discrete about it...
Can always count on you Jim to copy and paste what someone said in big bold letters. LOL!
Stay vigilant and SAFE-ISH! Everyone! (I got that term from our in-house safety-ish expert. :)
You guys been suckin' in super heated gases again?
Sorry; I dangled my participle.
Happy Halloween, Art, for tonight and at least the next 20 years.
WE JUST LOCK DOWN AND HOPE WE STAY QUIET ! LIKE WE DO ANY OTHER NIGHT AT THE STATION
Our Fire Department and Rescue Squad switch building every year to host it, but we have glow-in-the dark buckets that we have coloring books, candy and little fun things for the kids. We open the doors and let them stop in.
Some fire fighters hang at the hall and hand out treats to all the kids...hte front line fire fighters are out responding to all the fires that come after all the kids stop trick or treating
