The LAFD pic (first one, not the 2nd one--also LAFD)
LF (lightforce) 27 is heading back to quaters after an EMS run, The capt. on the Truck asked his A/O to drive by a some highrises because he wanted to select one for highrise training. This was the 2nd building they were looking at
The Tillerman was the first to sopt the soke when there were about 1/2 mile out.
LF 27 asked for a 2nd alarm assiengment and a division Command Team.

If this came in as an AFA, I would radio fire showing from the ?? floor and call for the box. If this came in as a Box then I'd confirm the fire, and its location on the building. If this is the first engine then we are to grab the high rise kit and go (Just the 2 of us). 2nd Engine will tap the hydrant and connect to the FD connection. 1st ladder and rescue would begin the search of the fire floor and floor above.
A chief would most likely drop a deuce upon arrival, and maybe even a third after the intial crew gives a report from the inside.

well due to manpower problems in our entire county during the daytime which this picture shows.. if i was coming upon this scene i would call for a battalion response also resque squad with there rehab unit with all available scba interior firemen.that would give me seven companies and two ladder trucks

Columbia 911 show Greenport Car 1 and Engine251 arriving, be advised I have heavy fire and smoke showing from the _ floor window, be advised the building is being evacuated at this time, and have my units switch to channel 6...
Greenport Command to Columbia 911... Columbia 911 on for Greenport Command...Transmit a 2 alarm and have Hudson Tower 32 and Engine 30 for F.A.S.T. and Stottville's Tower to the scene... recieved at 10:27 KEG594 Dispatcher 11-56

Engine XX on the scene of a _ story multi-family building with heavy fire and smoke showing. Buiding is evacuating or not. This unit is establishing comand. Break. (In my area the dispatch would repeat my size up. Than say go ahead with your Break.) Than I would request a second alarm this unit is doing a primary search.
Knowing my run card, I would have 3 pumpers, 2 quints, 2 squads, an ALS unit, and with chief officers coming from neighboring departments to help run command. This would be my initial response. A scond would give me 1 squad 2 pumpers (1 at the scene and 1 to back fill a station). I would also have Red Cross respond.
All other traffic I would do on the assigned fire ground channel. I may have missed somethings but close.

not around here you dont pause yu see smoke from around the corner and you are already screaming into the radio and if flames are confirmed omg.. there isnt a breath to be had till the first bottle is dead! just kidding

Eng # 1 on scene, we have a large multistory brick residential complex. i have heavy fire /smoke showing top floors on side A of the complex, with light smoke side B, Turn in a second alarm, next in engine lay a supply line. Eng 1 will be in fast attack mode passing command.

"Dispatch, Truck 3 on scene at 1234 Main street, 8 story brick high rise apartment building, heavy smoke and fire showing from the 7th floor "A" side. Strike a 2nd and 3rd alarm for this box. Truck 3 will be interior on the fire floor operating on fireground channel #5. All incoming companies report on channel #5."
