My department has goten the OK from our board to go ahead and order our new 75' Sutphen Ladder Truck. It'll be replacing the oldest truck in our fleet and thats our ladder right now and its a 1970. With the purchase of this our oldest truck will now be a 2000. We're going to give our 1970 away to a local department. The price on this is just under $650,000.

We'll have it next summer................... and yes it'll be lime green too:)

Wow, good for you guys... 650k nice, just curious as to why only 75'?
Do they charge extra for that slime green paint job?
75 feet? why only 75 feet? Do they even make trucks with only 75 foot sticks anymore??
a 75' ladder will fit into our hall right now tell we get our new station in 5 years, longer than that and we've got on room in any of our 3 stations, and we've got the city department that has an 85' and 100' always ready to help use out, and ues they charge more for lime green, that color is like gold:)
