well just received another white envelope from fema, sorry to inform you gentlemen you do not qualify for our funds , but, yet joe blow department down the street just received their fourth- fifth federal grant, plus founding fathers tax the s>><> out of their tax people now how fair is this i feel you get your funds this yeAR you shouldn't be able to get funds for a while so that other departments be able to get the money
i feel the same way go to the fema web site pa and alabama have gotten more grants than any other state . why? we have applyed 7 times and nothing we have pd money we didnt have to write grant writers nothing. why ? but yet there are depts every where geting as many as 3 grants in 6 years . people spread it around let everyone get a shair . i get boiling hot everytime i think about it . we are vol with a budget of 10000 per year help the little guy with little or no tax base . big city' s have more funds help them last not first

Dont feel left out cause I know alot of departments that are in the same boat as you and me. Try looking to see if there is a Rural Development Center in your areas they will help. also check with Firemans Fund insurance and the USDA they both have grants that are geared more to volunteer departments
What? they send rejection letters I guess we are not important enought for that. The deal is no one cares about Podunk vol. fire dept. they only care and get news stories for helping big city depts. Same old story have to stand in the road with a boot just to put fuel in the trucks.
we are volunteer dept.and have 3 grants pending .we have a new chief.the old one would not let us have anything.our trucks are over 25yrs old,our scbas are borrowed and our turn out gear is older than dirt.i hope for the safter of our citizens of the area we cover we get all 3 grants.some stations need them especially ours
I'm not laughing we had a roadblock 2 weeks ago and we always state where the money is going so the public knows. It was to pay the fuel bill and light bill were having to put new gear and equipment on the back burner. By the way FUEL PRICES SUCK.
