Every apparatus with have its good and its bad points. comes down to who will give you the most for your money. Our station and alot of others around here have started going with Smeal Spartan. Good truck, lots of room, very few problems all at a reasonable price.

I just really want to see which has the least issues and is "the best for your money." I live in southern Indiana and a lot of dept. are E-one and we have nothing but issues with those. We wanted something a little different.

LOL... if you can get anybody to agree on this post, you should be working to fix the problems in the middle east. This is just one of those things that some people will argue about until the day they die. I know guys that are die hard seagrave and some guys are die hard pierce. Most of them dont have any real reason why they like one or the other. BTW... Seagrave!!!!!! lol

we just bought 3 pierce last year and we are having issues that the reps aren't wanting to fix. valves leaking is our biggest issue. not that it is not a good truck just watch out, they don't want to fix after they have your money
