Camp Houston Fire

The second annual Camp Houston Fire event is just around the corner. Camp Houston Fire is the brainchild of group of Houston Fire Department women who are interested in introducing the next generation of young women to non-traditional career opportunities using firefighting techniques. It is a physically and mentally challenging camp. Past participants describe it as "life changing" and "eye opening."

Providing this opportunity to interested candidates requires a significant volunteer effort, resources from the community and of course, participants. There are a variety of ways you can help the young women of our community succeed. Can you sponsor a participant? We are offering sponsorship opportunities. We have attached the application for Camp Houston Fire and the Sponsorship Form. Please share this application with young women you think may be interested in attending the camp. The application submission deadline is February 25th, 2011. It is open to all junior and senior girls in high school, including homeschoolers! The camp is free to participants. All uniforms, meals throughout the day and necessary personal protective equipment will be provided. You have an opportunity to make a huge impact in the life of a young woman that may forever change how she views herself and the world around her.
