Hi Kent, Yeah, that's always a hot topic, no pun intended! When trying to explain to people, whether it be the public, family or friends; that you are a volunteer firefighter. I am always amazed that most don'y even grasp the basic concept of what a volunteer is? Alot of times, they will still ask if get paid or what do you get out of it then? Take care, bro!

I would encourage everyone to electronically sign the petition requesting that the tax exemption for volunteer firefighters be increase from $1000 to $3000.
If you wish you can also send a letter electronically following the instructions on the web site.
Just click on the following link and it will take you to the site where you can add your name to the petition.
It is very straight forward. As well pass it on to all your friends and family...
