About Me:
I am 34 and live in Baldwinsville, with my wife and 3 kids. I have been a member of the fire service since 1994. I have held the ranks of firefighter to assistant chief. I have worked as a paid firefighter/emt for the Latham Fire Department. I have also held positions at Factory Mutual as a plan reviewer and inspector, at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) as the Fire Protection Supervisor and Emergency Response Coordinator. I have also worked for C&S Engineers as a Fire Protection Engineer and am currently employed by SimplexGrinnell as a JCAHO Quality Assurance Specialist. I started my career at SimplexGrinnell as a fire sprinkler installation and service manager and have been promoted to a new dual region life safety inspector that focuses on healthcare and JCAHO Accredited facilities.

John, welcome to the Nation. I am glad you dropped in to join the group. Dont be shy just jump in anywhere and get your feet wet. There is lots to do, read and be involved with. Your participation and involvement is important to us all. Takes a bit to kinda figure it all out but you will be glad you did. Have fun and look around.
