Why I Joined Fire/EMS
I have always been interested in fire/ems service. I lived next to a fire station while growing up. Then I joined as a volunteer when I was 16. I joined the ARMY when I was 19 and got into combatlifesaver course and I have been involved in ems ever since.
Why I Love Fire/EMS
You meet people on thier very worst day and you are thier lifeline its a great feeling to know that you helped them WHAT A RUSH!!!!
Top Issues Facing Responders:
The one i seem to run into alot is people somehow not hearing the sirens or the fact that other people are moving over for an emergancy vehicle.

The Strangest Call EVER!!!!!!

We got toned out to a 30 something male sick. When we arrived there was a female I (think) at the top of the driveway there to greet us so I asked what seems to be the problem she stated the gentleman inside is sick he has a cane up his ass, I followed with , well when people get sick they tend to be a little cranky, she said, no I mean he has a cane up his ass!
