Does anyone have any issues on the April ballot. We are going for an 1/2 cent sales tax.

Hey everyone if any of you need any courses related to the FireOfficer Certificate Program through MU let me know ASAP. We are going to try and get the classes that several of us need to finish!

John we have been working on the standardization of RIT, accountability and so on for some time. As you now this has been a project or passion I should say of mine for five years now! I think we are headed in the right direction it will take time but we are moving. We have instructed almost 200 Firefighters in our County in RIT. We have another class at Herky in March. Your department like others in the county have been behind us which is awsome. I have the support of several Chiefs making things a little easier. I know we all have problemes within our own departments but it is nice to see things such as Firefighter safety become a priority for all of us.

I look forward to seeing the new ladder. I will have it on our cards! Also I have you guys comming in now on our cards quite a bit we just need good fires! I hope you enjoy the FFN. It is addicting.

No there is no paid staff. Yes they border Potosi on the east side. The district covers approx 300 square miles and runs 3 engine houses. I have told Shannon about FFN. Her laptop is down right now.

Steelville is a district. They have a very low tax rate. Last I checked it was 19 cents per 100 dollar assessment, that generates approx 120,000 per year.

We are going for a sales tax also. We hope it will pass. Hopefully everyone will see it lowers there property tax. Are you guys a district down south or do you do the fire tags?

With the economy in the tank, I will be surprised if it passes.
