Hi Roger
We have a union meeting on Monday to decide whether to temporarily postpone industrial actions whilsts a vote on Proposals is being carried out. We are not carrying out any duties over and above our contracts at this time which is cripling the brigade. we will find out whats happening on Monday.
On a seperate issue: I read somewhere on the web of a page where an American Fire Department has a Exchange Duties system in place to help Firefighters swap shifts. I cannot find this page, would you know of its whereabouts. Over here we have to ask people individually to swap a shift if we need it off. It would be good to have a place where we can all go and add requests for all firefighters to see and hopefully answer. An help locating this page would be very much appreciated. Take care mate and I hope you are well.
Alan.
Thanks Roger, nice page. At first I thought you might be that dude from Pink Floyd, but then I couldn't recall ever reading that he was a fellow FF. Kidding of course. Hope to tty soon.
Thank you Sir. for the welcome. It`s an honor to be part of a national brother hood that will welcome and watch out for a fellow man that will enter the mouth of the beast by your side.
Thanks Roger, glad to be a part of the group. Look forward to learning, participating and connecting with others in the fire service too. Thanks again....Be Safe Always, and have a great Christmas.........LT.MC.
Thanks for the welcome brother Waters. Pass on the word, "Help represent our country at the 2011 World Police & Fire Games - Aug/Sept in New York City during the 10 year commemoration of 9/11 ."
Thank you for the welcome Roger. I have a daughter not far from you living oin Boulder. She got involved with the wild fire there in September by giving massage therapy to the firefighters
