About Me:

I've always liked helping other people. My mom used to say that I never met a stranger & that I would always do more for others than myself. Now days I'm a little more selfish, because I really like to go out and hunt (alone or w/ friends) or take my kites out and play or drum the night away. I'm a bit of a nerd somtimes & that's probably why I don't really mind being the secretary for our Fire Assoc., (2-1/2 yrs & getting railroaded for 2 more)!

None. I'm independently broke!

Why I Joined Fire/EMS

I've had an intrest for a long time, but never knew how to get involved. So I found out how & here I am, four years later! I am also a member of a professional fireworks crew in Colorado. We put on 2-5 shows a year and I have always been the first to grab an extinguisher when we ignite the terrain. I also learned how to treat (respect) fire at an early age thru camping w/ my parents and being a Boy Scout.

Why I Love Fire/EMS

I get to drive a Big Red Truck & we get some pretty cool stuff to wear!

Top Issues Facing Responders:

Getting people who join to show up for training and calls. It seems like they are eager to join & get the pager, cool T-shirt / hat & plate for thier car, but when they find out how much time /work is involved, they opt out & we play hell getting our stuff back. They just stop showing up?!?
