welcome to the Nation. I am glad you dropped in to join the group. Dont be shy just jump in anywhere and get your feet wet. There is lots to do, read and be involved with. Your participation and involvement is important to us all. Takes a bit to kinda figure it all out but you will be glad you did. Have fun and look around.
I had the chance years ago to spend a week with army officers involved with Emercom. Does this still exist? I enjoyed spending time with russians during a training exercise on civil control during disasters. I made many friends and was given some really cool gifts as well. I gave away a lot of turquoise jewelry from the Hopi and Navajo tribes of Arizona as well as fire department belt buckles and helmets. They gave me a couple of bottles of pure russian vodka that I've kept in the freezer for a special occassion. I'm not sure what kind of firefighting you do but I can help you with pretty much any topic that is fire related with a special emphasis on WMD NBC+E issues / hazmat as well as wildland firefighting. I hope we can become friends. Stay safe and low! Mike from Santa Barbara, CA, USA
Good to know a Russian brother, unfortunatly I am incapable of conversing with you in your language so it is a good thing you can speak english so well. Stay safe and I hope I hear from you again soon.
