Top Issues Facing Responders:
I think that one of the biggest issues facing responders is support in the form of CISM. It is not always available in a timely fashion or at all.
I worry about the old school attitude about vol. firefighting that exists in my department and other departments. They are dinosours left over from the run in and breath smoke and die young days, where it was really about how much beer you could drink after the fire.
