I'm wildland so I don't have much to trade. I've got a couple shirts from fires I was on (Milford Flat, UT 2007, East Zone Complex, ID 2007, and California Lightening Strikes June-July 2008) I'll talk to the chief at the local VFD to see if he'd be willing to give a patch to trade. other than that I'm wondering what you're selling the shirts and patches for. I'll wear S,M,L but if you're an XL I'll take it too. Also an option for trade is a fire acadamy shirt from california, its XL and has a couple holes in it. It was a well "loved" shirt I got over the summer

    Hey Mike,
I too got burned by Mike Orbell. I sent the bast......some patches a while ago...no response. Hope life is treating you well!!! Stay safe bro.

    Daniel
  • Daniel Robert Garvin

It's a shame people like him get through. I fully understand when I am asked to send first, I have been burned so many times. Oh well, I guess that's one of the chances we take trusting people right? I agree that we ask the web chief to boot this sucker and tell as many people as possible. I am even thinking of contacting his chief and telling him what a bad name he is giving their department. Stay safe bro!

    Daniel
  • Daniel Robert Garvin

Thats what I'll do.....stay safe bro!
  • Daniel Robert Garvin

Hey Mike, Just wanted to let you know that I contacted his chief and spoke to the 2nd in command by phone to tell them what was going on with this guy. I should here back any time now. Stay safe bro!

  • Steve Williams

Hello bro Im just south of you in Jefferson County. Don't respond to the city much LOL. Although we have has you guys down before for specialty stuff, trench rescue confined space and yes even brush fires!
  • Daniel Robert Garvin

    Hey Michael,
I did hear back from Orbell's crew chief. She called me at home. I talked with her for about a half hour. She explained that his dad was the former chief and that he is a little special so they kept him on but he has caused some trouble around the station house. He promised to send me a patch...we'll see if that happens. I'll let you know if anything comes of it. On another topic, you can trust Johannes from Africa. I did a trade with him and he was more than fair with me. It takes a while to arrive because it so freakin far away! Stay low and be safe!!

    Daniel
  • Daniel Robert Garvin

    Morning Michael!
Guess what arrived this morning in the mail...yup, a nice Inuvik FD patch. I will see what I can do about the Calgary patches but it may be faster for you to contact D Rock directly. His info is on my page...if you can't find it, I'll send it along. Stay safe brother.

    Daniel

  • Leo Cartwright

Hi Michael, I noticed that I have you as a friend. my name is Leo Cartwright Paramedic from Victoria in Australia.
Why I am writing is that I am a Emergency Patch Collector, I wish to know if I asked you for a patch and did you send one, also did U ask me to send one and did I. The reason I ask is this summer it was that bloody hot here my PC had a melt down and I lost ALL my connections and who's who in the Zoo.Looking at my collection I have nothing from ST. Louis, Missouri, but that doesn't mean U didn't send something else instead. Hope this is not to confusing. My address & Email is:
    Leo J. Cartwright
    246 Kay Street
    TRARALGON
    VICTORIA 3844
    AUSTRALIA

    lecar1@bigpond.net.au

    Cheers Leo
  • Leo Cartwright

Thanks Michael Now I have your address I should be posting out in about 2 weeks, I usually post when I get around 10-12 names. YES I do understand your predicament sending them out before you receive them, I am just so pissed off that my PC crashed as now I have no record of who i sent patches too. I thanks you for your honesty. I will try and let U know when I post them, so U can keep an eye out for the post.
    Cheers for now Leo
  • Michael Simpson

hey you still interested in trading shirts with other dept
  • S.Ruble

Michael I am a Quincy fire explorer and no our department does not give out patches
  • Tommy mahon

Hello. Yeah, Mike is still here. "working"?...I doubt it!
I read your bio, it's awesome that you work for StL fire. My Dad (Robert Mahon), Uncle (Patrick Mahon), and Grandpa (Bruce Mahon) were all on that dept. They have some pretty interesting history there although I don't know as much as I should. God Bless!
  • Paul E. Swaggerty

Chief, Fire Prevention has done a great job. With growth slowing they need more work load. How about having them educate the community on what a real emergency is. They can teach people how to help themselves and teach care homes about liability. Care homes should not call EMS because they are understaffed and don't want to deal with their pts. EMS Prevention!
  • Leo Cartwright

Thank Michael, the address is correct, does insufficient mean that there was not enough postage value on it??.
Try and send it again. Just looking at your profile photos again, makes me want to be over there with you all. The patches you also show are great. I am starting to gat a collection of patches now and going strong, it's great to look back and remember whos, who in our zoo. Can you tell me which photo you are as a clse up, I can't make you out in your profile photo between the fire appliances. I hope you know what I mean.
    Cheers for now Leo.
  • Tim McLain

Thanks for asking , about the same it has it ups and downs, but it still don't stop me from playing a round or two of golf. I played in St Louis FF golf outing last year and I think my brother is going to ask me to get in it again. He is a Bat Chief in the city. when he made Bat chief he told me his new Number. I thought it was so unreal and thought he was just joking around. it is the same as mine.801 well talk to you later michael be safe
