Why I Joined Fire/EMS: Even as a kid I loved the flashing lights, sound of sirens and the adrenalin rush of an emergency. I also get a great sense of worth when I can make a difference in someone's life for the good. There is a sense of gratitude for your life when you can make someone else's better. I love EMS and always will!!
Why I Love Fire/EMS: It gives me great self-worth to help others in their time of need.

Wow, yeah I think I'd much rather hit a deer than a moose....that would be awesome if they did have their own ems thing. they probably do and just keep it hidden from humans so we won't steal their ideas :)
We haven't had a good snow in a long time. Last year I don't think we had any. The few years before that we might get one snow that would be like 4-5 inches and it was gone within 2 days. The last really good one we had was when I was in like the 4th or 5th grade and we had an unexpected blizzard that was 10 inches. We had been out of school for a week from a couple of smaller ones, and we were scheduled to go back that day, but when we woke up that morning there was 10 inches on the ground, so we were out for another week because of it.
We had our monthly meeting tonight, and got 2 medical calls almost at the same time. The first one was for a possible heart attack, and the man lived by himself. Me and 3 guys went in there and he was totally hitting on me. He told the other 3 that they could go ahead and leave and I could take care of him. The second one was a woman that fell in the kitchen and probably dislocated her shoulder. Either that or broke her arm but she was in a lot of pain that was starting at her shoulder. These were the first calls we've had this year. Its funny how you don't have any and then have two 4 minutes apart.

thats so wierd....if we got 25 inches of snow the schools would be closed for like a month and everybody wuold be in major panic mode. if they're calling for 2 inches every grocery store in town is sold out of bread and milk.
we're under a flood warning now. we had a whole lot of rain last night and today, and mom said we had a hail storm at home, but I was at work and as far as I know we didn't have one there.

Im about 5 minutes from the fire dept and 30 mins from lifeway. Im actually 30 mins from anything except the fd and some churches and a gas station haha. Maybe me and your daughter should switch places for a week so i can experience the 25 inch snow.

We respond from home or wherever we happen to be at the moment. We were having a meeting the other night when we had 2 ems calls so we got to those within 2 minutes, but a normal minimum response time for us is 10 minutes, and closer to 20 for those calls that are near the edge of the response area.

I started back to school today.I already hate my first class. we have to work in groups and do presentations and other stuff that i hate doing.

Yes, I guess thats true.
My main reason for not wanting to work in groups is cause if I'm working by myself and i do something stupid, nobody knows except me and the teacher. But if I'm in a group the whole group knows and it possibly affects their grade.
we're getting our share of the cold weather now. Its supposed to get down to like 9 degrees tonight...still no snow though :(

Schools here close early/go late if its like under 10 degrees outside. As far as I know we've never been cold enough for businesses.
We had our fire dept awards banquet tonight. I got the chiefs award :)

Yes, I am. I don't think I deserve it, but I think I mostly got it cause I do all the computer stuff since nobody else really knows how.
It seems a little warmer here today. I don't know exactly how warm, but I didn't completely freeze when I went outside. I'd guess in the 30's.

Theyre saying we might get snow today and tomorrow! I dont know how much but its supposed to start this afternoon and continue through tomorrow. Its wierd how it snows after it gets warmer.

I like to keep my snow in the yard :) or on the hill in the front yard to go sledding on. I don't think its started yet, but I hope it does soon. They said we could get 1-3 inches, unless the system goes farther north than expected we could get 2-5.

haha i wish you could send it to me too. i guess it makes a difference since you have to deal with it everyday and i only get it like once a year. I think we got about 2 inches yesterday but its all gone now except in shady places. They say tomorrow is supposed to be about 50 so i guess the rest will melt then.

Thank you for asking about a patch. I am a patchless person in EMT training!
For some reason we have been hit with unusual 81 degree temps lately and now (today) its turned to a chilly 74 .
Beaches are still nice this time of the year though.
Hopefully one day, I will be the one to trade off pathces.

Very demanding, I'm in the process of moving and going thru 32 yrs of memories in the present house. Deciding what to kee and to get rid of!! And the weather is a big factor here! One day its cold as a witch's you know what and the next it is in the 50-60's. U dont know what or how to dress!!!

We got about an inch last night, but it all melted. We're under a snow advisory tonight for 1-3 inches. Hopefully more :)
I'm about 4-5 hours east of VA beach. I have a friend that lives there that I've been wanting to go visit, so if you know when you'll be there I might could go then.

Yeah pretty common thing Mike Orbell burned me and my friend Gaylen he wants patches but never returns the favor. I think we should e mail the web chief and have him booted. No, I don't like that guy. He's a couple years younger than me and a little shorter than me, where I prefer older and taller. Plus I think I still love my exboyfriend and it'll take a while or a really good guy to get me over him...
Well the gay guy was my best friend Peytons date, and from what I understand, he likes her, but she's the only girl he likes. Its complicated cause he's the exboyfriend of another friend (girl), and after he turned gay he was her best friend, but now that he likes Peyton, the other girl feels rejected cause she still liked him after he turned gay so she doesn't want him and peyton to go out, but he really likes peyton. But Peytons about to go to college a few hours away and she thinks college will be more fun if shes single so she doesn't really want a boyfriend. So for now they're just friends, and they'll see where it goes from there.
We had some sleet the other night. It was pretty hard for a while, it woke me up hitting the windows, but it was gone by morning. Its been very cold though.
