same for me actually. I joined exactly a week after my 16th birthday in April (we're not allowed to become an official firefighter in my department untill we're 16). So in almost exactly a month it'll be 3 years.

I'm actually from a small town department in Connecticut, USA... I am just recently certified as a volunteer fire recruit- and am going to our live burn at the CT fire academy in a week or two- and I can actually enter the structure-- so I have my SCBA fit test next week and am so pumpedd =) But wow New Zealand? It must be nice!
