Why I Joined Fire/EMS
I became an EMS, 4 years ago to help people in my community and in the surrounding areas, I always loved helping people. But I wasn’t satisfied with just helping if they were sick, I needed more. So I moved to a larger community of about 19,000 so that I could get the training to become a Firefighter. Myself, and my friend Ashley are the First female firefighters in a department of 50 men. I also have been attending school to become a Occupational Health and Safety Officer, I finish in 4 months. Presently I am working with Fire and Emergency Services (Fire Commissioner) and love it.
