my son was a volenteer for many years, and has been with wildland,for going on 6 years. i just want to support these men and women for the jobs they do.you are all heroes.

    I see you live in Pensecola FL. I lined there for aout 7 months back in 1986. I tried to become a Pensecola Police Officer, but I ended up to far down on the list after the afirmative action stuff kicked in. I was a member of the Bellview Voluteer Fire Department fo that time as well. I liked it there, but things just did not work out as planned so I ended up back in New York.

The reward for that is sitting around listening, learning and talking to them about life, fires, other departments that some come from, highs in life and lows.     Good morning Charline I joined our vol fd after my husband passed away 4 yrs ago. My son belongs to it and he talked me into it I love it just recently went on a training for propane fires and I loved it the heat was almost unbearable but the fire was so intense. I think he just wanted me to help around the firehouse but I'm in it all the way he worries if I go on these trainings without. It has been a great help getting my mind off of things at times. Its good to hear from u .
