Relationship Status:

Why I Joined Fire/EMS
I've always had the desire to serve. I served in the Army as an MP, then joined the Fire Department and have been loving it ever since. Something about meeting people on the worst day of their life and trying to make it better is very rewarding!
Top Issues Facing Responders:
Firefighter safety and survival, and roadway safety.
Yep, I've been to the JSA a half-dozen times (so far) and it's always an interesting experience. It's different now that we've handed Liberty Bell and Bonifas back to the ROKs, but still interesting.
I love Korean Food, so I don't mind that part of being here at all. I'm an MI guy down at Humphreys, and here on a two-year tour (which just became three) with my wife (she's a 1SG) and kids. The toughest thing about being over here is not being able to be a firefighter while I'm here. I get plenty of PT, though! Withour new 6-story barracks, I run the stairs with 45-lbs plates and my IBA on a couple times a day.
Anyhow, welcome to The Nation and stay safe out there.
Hey Brian! Just dropping by to check out your page. When I have some more time I will check out your department site too!
I just couldn't resist the "munster" thing!!! I laughed me arse off! Stay safe!

Hey Brian- I just joined the website and saw the back page about favorite firefighter books. I live in Malibu, spent 3 years with LACoFD and CalFire preparing a novel about a boy who comes of age as a wildland firefighter at a helitak camp (Camp 8 LA County). The book has been well received and Fire Chief P. Michael Freeman of the LACoFD liked it enough to send it to the County Board of Supervisors.
Perhaps you would enjoy reading it. The title is One Foot In the Black. You can buy it on Amazon or, if you buy it from the online store of the Wildland Firefighter Foundation, they get the profits. http://wffoundation.org/webstore/index.html.
You can see reviews from firefighters on my website

G'day Brian, thanks for saying hello... Yes, Lutan1 is in the same State as me, but I think he's in the country area while I'm a suburbanite! Not sure though.
Some interesting photos you have, I always check these things. And I'd say you're far more popular with 'customers' as a Firefigher than you were as an MP?
Thanx for the good advice you gave to me.I am thanking God for disclosing this site for me where I will always meet people like you.We can be friends so that we can relate more.Plz always be careful.
Know thats true had to go tuesday to get my youngest daughters classes, she is a senior this year. last time I have to do that mess. glad things are fine. be safe , will check back tomorrow.
Hey Brian, I don't want to piss off the FFN folks but should I not have put in all the background stuff? Maybe I should have used an attachment or is it ok the way it is? ms
