My best friend's dad was a Chief in Chicago. I practically lived at their house, radios going, everyone they knew worked for the CFD. I guess I grew up around this. The trucks would pull up in front of the house, we'd go out for rides with the Chief. 20 years later the opportunity came again...and I couldn't not take it. Something told me it was time to be back in this world, and I have never looked back. We can make a difference, help suffering people, be there in the middle of it all and know there is always something new to learn. It's work I've always wanted to do - the real stuff, with real people in the community outside the church's walls and where the people are. There isn't a day that goes by when what happens doesn't matter. Makes me feel like I'm just where I should be.
Hey Jennie,
Hope you don't mind this message, but I'm trying to make a Chicago connection for a business opportunity that is going through the FDNY. More and more members are signing up daily. Its only in three states presently but will eventually be in all fifty. It has to do with the deregulation of gas and electricity. If you know anyone who's looking to make a second income, please let me know. Thanks and stay safe!
