Check out the some of the Groups, I have started up "Close Calls" an area to tell your story of what you did and should not of so others learn. "Roll Calls" this is another group that allows you to tell us about your station and district. "Trainers Corner" is another area that you can read about issues other trainers have or deal with. As well if your not a trainer you can ask questions or state concerns you have. If you have a hard time locating them just go to my site and look at the bottom left hand corner.

Enjoy, be safe and remember we all come home.

Hey there Hiedi! How is it going? Did you do another ride-out? I am really sorry I haven't gotten back to you. I am running a million miles an hour here, trying to finish up medic school and move over to Eastern Wa for my internship. I would love to give you some testing pointers if you still need. Biggest thing is to just take a deep breath and do your best. I am sure you will do fine. So many departments use different tests so the best thing to do is talk to people who have been out there testing. Holy smokes yakky yakky here. Sorry! I hope you are doing well. :o)

Hi Hiedi, Sorry I'm getting back to you so late,

I'm not sure exactly how much but I'm guessing about 40 or 50 lbs. I'm back to work and can weigh a 50' section then. Is that too late?

Good luck to you on your test!
    Roger

  • Hiedi

I have some big news. I have gained my affiliation! I'm going to be working as a volunteer at Skamania EMS Search and Rescue! I'm set to go through orientation next week. Its not a full on fire dept but I'm getting closer!
  • FETC

Congrats Hiedi... Once you complete your Medic and Fire Science Program you are going to be easily marketable for a good job, My area like most others are in need of FF/Medics. If fully trained and ready to go to work, they pretty much can pick which department they want to work for.

Stay safe feel free to fdrop me a note if you have a question. Bill
  • FETC

That is what I am seeing in the northeast. FF/Medics are in high demand. Good time right now, get it all done and start searching.

Yeah Godsmack rocks, I have seen them a bunch, Sully, the singer lives in NH too! Nice chatting with you.
