    Hi Jim;
    How is your day going? Mine is busy but good. I work in the HR department at a caregiving agency. I like to help people too and volunteer over at the juvenile hall to help the girls there and also the local hospital. I live in San Mateo which is about 10 miles south of San Francisco. I love it here and there is no where else I would rather be.
    It's raining cats and dogs, can't waite for spring when I can catch spring fever and then...watch out!...lol
    Have a good one.

    Thanx for the welcome... You're a long way from home there in Wyoming. My daughter is a volunteer firefighter in Vestal, New York and her 16 yr. old daughter just joined the probie program. I am so proud of my daughter and the work she does. Scares the heck out of me sometimes with some of the cases she works.... more so on the mental/emotional end than physical...she has had some pretty extreme cases. I just try to give her all the support I can. She is pretty tough!!
    Thanx again for the welcome and stay safe out there.
  • sandra

    I hear you about kids growing up fast...My oldest, Jeff, will be 42 this year and lives in Mississippi working as a civilian at Columbus AFB. My daughter, Shell, will be 40 this year and lives in New York, What really hits is when your grandkids are graduating from high school and are getting ready to head out on their own in this world!! In fact I was just blessed with my first great grandchild. Finally after 9 grandkids (all girls)...the 4th generation is starting with a little boy!!
    One thing I feel about having a child follow us in our professions is that we can guide them in regards to what our particular career entails. My daughter started working with me as a nurse's aide and then later went on into working as a life guard, followed by volunteering at her local fire station and has been in that field for the past 7 years. So I guess in a round about way her working in the field I once worked in helped lead her to the path she eventually chose. We as parents are our childrens best teacher.
    Take care and stay safe out there*S*
