    Megan - I was reading your bio and your bunker gear comment caught my eye! How old is your bunker gear? We have gear that is five years old and we try to replace 20% per year so that it's all replaced within five years.

    Megan - Firefighting gear is waranteed for five years. There's plenty published reference personal protective equipment (PPE) that I can email you if you like. We replace all of our gear within seven years for all of our 357 personnel assigned to the Operations Division. You should be able to get a USFA Grant if it's well written and documented. I'll be glad to send you some examples that may help you out.
