About Me:: I've been in law enforcement for 29 years, EMS for 27, firefighting for 8 years.
I've lived in Iowa all my life, have traveled in the USA, alot. Visited many of your fine states. Want to visit them all plus some countries as well.
All three of these jobs have kept me pretty tied down. I just dropped my EMS for a while to free up my schedule, but will go back into it when I leave law enforcement in the next year.
I enjoy meeting people from all walks of life and interests.
I'm a pretty laid back, yet off the wall person. Enjoy laughing and clowning around when not busy. I've enjoyed getting into the fire fighting world, wished I did it years ago! But I enjoy the best of three worlds right now.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS: I figured I could stand around and watch people suffer or I could be someone who could help in an emergency situation.

I didn't hear the one last night. I took the night off.. :D I spent the night trying to figure out why my headlights weren't working. All's good now. Yay! But yeah, I didn't here the Nevada one.. it seems like they've had a few calls lately.

Thank you for the welcome, this is by far the best site i have ever been to, so much better then my space. i am a full time volunteer Emergency Medical Dispatcher and i am also on the volunteer fire department, i do traffic control and i am a clerk also. i get to dispatch from my home which is one good thing about living in a small town. but being on duty 24/7 can be hard. but i would trade it for the world. stay safe when you are out.
