Not too much. Had your basic calls. Still waiting on the "bad" one. Thankfully, haven't had that yet. However, my department did just have a LODD on Aug. 17, 2007. I hope to never have to go through that again, although I know it is always a possibility

Why I Joined Fire/EMS
It started out as a way to get to becoming a medical examiner. That was until I actually got out in the field and then became a firefighter. I changed my mind about becoming a medical examiner and have decided to stick with a firefighting/paramedic career. I absolutely love it!!
Why I Love Fire/EMS
there is no other job like it in the world. It takes a special breed of person to run into a burning building while others are running out, or to transport someone that is on the verge of death and know that you can be the difference.
Top Issues Facing Responders:
safety, lack of funds (thank you president bush), and Ron Paul, a 2008 presidential candidate that wants to cut the number of police and fire depts. and personnel in half. TSK, TSK Mr. paul.

Check out the some of the Groups, I have started up "Close Calls" an area to tell your story of what you did and should not of so others learn. "Roll Calls" this is another group that allows you to tell us about your station and district. "Trainers Corner" is another area that you can read about issues other trainers have or deal with. As well if your not a trainer you can ask questions or state concerns you have. If you have a hard time locating them just go to my site and look at the bottom left hand corner.

Enjoy, be safe and remember we all come home.
