It's a bit more complicated than I will state, but in a nutshell, the hose monster, (Tommy), has the duty to put the fire out. Put the wet stuff on the red stuff as we say. A formitable task at times, but we as truckies have the duties of forcible entry, (getting in), search, ventilation, (opening the building up), rescue, ladder operations, RIT, (when the s#@t hits the fan) and many others. Not that everyone is pidgeon holed, but some can do it all and some can't. We make fun of each other for our specialitys, but we all get the job done. Another truckie job is water rescue, (top water and diving), that he doesn't get into.

As far as Jimmy's comment goes he is somewhat right in what he said, but as a voulenteer dept we are all trained to do everything because you never know who is gonna be around for calls. I will give him credit for what he does when it comes to diving because that is not for everybody. DID I tell you his birthday was yesterday he turned like 45 he's an old man.
  • Jim Seargent

To be correct, it was 41, and if I am sooooo old, why can't the kids keep up?
  • 4208

Hope.. It isn't that we can't keep up we let him keep up with us young guys to keep his self esttem up due to his LITTLE problem remember.....
  • Jim Seargent

Thank you Hope. If we both are, you must have recently had one. What is your birthdate? As always, your pictures never dissapoint!

Good Afternoon, November 10th, a good date. Although I'm sure you were born long after the 1775 date of the corps. 2 Scorpios, now that could be fun! Do you fit the Scorpio profile?
  • Arthur T. Kline

Good afternoon from the great State of New Hampshire!!
  • Jim Seargent

I tried to resist boreing you with the details, but I can't , The birth of the Marines is a great story. It comes before the birth of the nation they are to protect. John Hancock, (then President of the Continental Congress), commissioned them to be ready in the case of war against Great Brittan. When you think about the state of this country, (almost), at the time, you can see what a truely bold move that was. I guess it's also funny to think that the 1st Marine Headquarters was in a bar in Philly. The name of the tavern escapes me at the moment, but it's not important. Have you served?
  • Jim Seargent

To a "T", as I! It seems like you would be a great deal of fun to get to know.
  • Jim Seargent

Nope, I had every oppertunity, (long story), but rather decided to get married. That was a big 13 year mistake! I know what you did as a military wife, (oh the images in my head), but what was your MOS?
  • 4208

Jim is one big book of knowledge. He is no doubtly one of the smartest guys I know. Alot of knowledge about every subject know to man. The only subject he lacks in is bedroom manuevers I thought him everything he knows there and I am still teaching him.
  • Jim Seargent

I guess Tommy was some kind of war hero. Something along the lines of Augie Murphy.
  • Jim Seargent

Yea, I saw the spelling screw up. What can I say? I'm a dope!

Hi ya Hope. The faithful companion is a female yellow lab, and I had to name her Wrigley (cubs fan in me). Besides I hate white sox, and because I have family in Anaheim, I like the Angels too. Anyway, got her couple of years ago when I took fall off of roof and separated my shoulder.....she became my giant lap dog. Indigo looks gorgeous, you're very lucky. You take care and be safe.....oh and you are very gorgeous yourself :)
  • MIKE TOIKA

Silly me, forgot to tell ya....Wrig is 4 yrs old. She does have a 12 year old German Shepard companion to hassle (Heidi). Pics to follow soon...they're cuter than me

Something on the order of 3000 miles can be a formittable obstacle, but there are certain forms of non verbal communication that might be interesting.
