Why I Love Fire/EMS
i may be a little tapped but i LOVE going to fires. i love the smell of smoke and sweat mixed together. some guys tell me they would rather go to 100 med calls over a fire, but this is what i signed up for. it's all ive known for 30 years. thanks to pop for getting me hooked.
Top Issues Facing Responders:
cardiac related health issues, weight issues, funding. funny how WE can control 2 out of the 3.

Hey buddy, very nice area. Our oceanfront station is pretty seasonal as far as # of calls but most others stay busy throughout the year. Of course EVERYONE wishes they could burn more!

Hey. What's up? 10th Mountain (520th Fire Fighting Detachment) 1999-2002. 82nd ABN before that.

She should have a helmet on brother. You know it. I know it. What if she got reassigned for a rescue? If it fell? That does make it different, but not better. You know this too. I get angry at people's comments too, but again, if you don't take the right perspective on these criticisms, you are missing the big picture.

BTW? What was the deal with the HA Rescue Holyoke had in July. The paper said that "an anchor point could not be found". How is that possible? Stay safe dude!
