What did I burn down? Hahaha, funny. To be honest the weather is the bigger story here. Everyone knows that its colder than a witches.................oops! Well, anyway, the lake is about frozen so we had to find a way to cut the ice for water. Not many hydrants here. But, as I said the weather here is terrible. Just getting to the scene was a challenge! The roads are all ice covered, and driving a tender on icy roads with all that water..........its not fun!

Yes, my department often had to draft water from lakes - so I understand the drama... No Hydrants for us either.

I was making fun - since you were saying it was SO cold - so what better way to warm it up - than have a good burn!

So it sounds like quite an adventure - so what did you save then?

Starting to get the snow here now. :0( I'm bummin out did too many renovations this year and tapped out so can't head out to the dominican this year.I will miss sittin on the beach with a drink or 5 in my hand lookin at the waves and that's all i look at ..... honest!

If it is any consolation - we had a few droplets of rain earlier in the week - and it flooded the phone lines - so my house phone has been out all week - so I am not immune to storm traumas ;-)

And Richard - jet setter - what the heck - "can't head out to the dominican this year" as though it is a regular event for you - DAMN - and I don't even have any stamps in my passport - let alone have a regular out-of-country spot to go on holiday !!! Hey Clay and Buzz - chilly, aye! Clay it has been quite a while since I have been to MO, but I remember that good people live there and many many people work hard to build their communities stronger. I don't seem to see that much here in Southern California - it appears that people are more interested in their own success and don't even know any of their neighbors, let alone practice much community building. And Buzz, what part of WA do you live in? I use to live in Walla Walla for a few years, then briefly by Seattle in Kirkland and Sumner (by Mt. Rainier).

Sorry everyone is having cold weather... Jamie glad I could bring you some joy... I worked for 10 years in Vermont as a FF/EMT and it could be -30 F for weeks on end - so I UNDERSTAND the strain it puts on all of you... and it also makes me glad that I have a break from that for now and can be in Sunny Southern California...

My cousins live in Colorado and they professionally rodeo and raise cattle - so your property looks a lot like theirs - with slightly different tree activity. Magnificent - but A LOT OF WORK TO RUN A RANCH !!!

Hello everyone !!! Been running around all day and not spent much time catching up on my computer - but I wanted to drop in and say hello to everyone and find out what is going on with all of you.

So I quick one of my jobs recently - GOOD THING, not bad - crazy boss! So I have been busy finding a new 2nd job.

The weather in California is beautiful right now - I hope some of you had at least a little break from your blizzards. Though I am sad that I do not get to see White Christmas activity - I miss that !!! Though here I don't have to dig my car - or anyone elses out of the ditch a few times a week. So ALL OF YOU post me some winter wonderland pictures PLEASE !!!

One of my kittens (9 months) is in heat - in my house - annoying as all hell !!! She needs to get fixed post-haste! I love my kitties - but horny kitty is way over the top. And she is really mad at me for not hooking her up with some male kitty action...

Cant raise livestock on this land, too rocky and no pasture land. A lot of cedar trees as you can tell. This is a hunting ranch (42 ac)out in the middle of nowhere with no power or water. I manage deer, tukeys, hogs and just use it as a getaway.

Yes, I love my second job - it is just part time and doesn't pay all the bills. And they are not in the position to make me full-time with a juicy salary - so I want to find a 2nd job. But I have worked long enough in my life that I will not tolerate abusive psycho bosses and stressful work environments.

Good Evening Everyone !!! Hope your friday has been going well !!! WHOO HOO the weekend is here !!! Lots of strange holiday histle and bustle near me - holiday parades and santa clauses handing out presents all in artificial snow... So I am dying to see some shiny snow pictures to remind me what a White Christmas looks like...

This weekend I am also on the mission to find new housemates - since I usually rent out a few rooms to college students (cheaper than a dorm & cheaper than students renting full apartments themselves when they are hardly ever home). So that is the big fun task on my plate this weekend and probably through into next week. I have a few good leads - but lots of whacka-doodles apply to move into my house too... And that is a HELL NO !!!

So what are all of you up to over this weekend...?

Hope you all are enjoying the holiday preparation - while this season can be nuts - it tis the season for caring about those that are less fortunate which is second nature to this crowd !!!

Apparently I was highlighting the sun too much - since now we are in a deluge of rain, flooding, and mud slides. YIPEE ! NOT !

and if that is not enough the starter (i think) went on my car and my mechanic if gone for the entire holiday week - so I havebeen screwing around with that all day...

and I owe my professor a paper by tomorrow morning - which I could care less about - so I will be up half the night trying to piece together my brilliant ideas...

and though I interviewed housemates all weekend - none of them are cool enough to live with me or rich enough to be able to pay their rent - so i guess next week after the holiday I will be on the hunt for housemates again...

and one of my two kittens is in heat (she was in heat last month for the 1st time) now it is the 2nd time and it seems to have intensified... and she is an indoor cat... and while I love her - she is driving me nuts with her howling...

and OMG I just found out that Amazon has been selling books like "The Pedophile's Guide to Love and Pleasure" Anderson Cooper 360 is reporting that they are trying to stop Amazon from selling those books - since they support child rape and molestation. Amazon is complying!!! And THANK GOD - the put the author of that book in jail !!!

and I am already holiday partied out !!!
