Great to see this group on the site. I feel alienated sometime as everyone in my brigade is married and the only other single FF's I meet are about 18-21 years old....lol. I think when you live in a rural area, that is what happens more often than not. Well if anyone wants to chat send me a message!

liz i know how you feel i live in a dept, that is father son type department, and i am the only one who is single and dont have a girlfriend. its get sad when they want to go do family things

It can be sometimes a little difficult to be single in a service that is so family orientated, I feel a little left out of the group at work. Good to see I am not alone ...

It is just as tough to be a single mom with kids - I often find it difficult to mix in with others that have kids as they are married andd it seems to be a group thing (or maybe they are afraid divorce is contagious). And so many are much younger than I. I totally understand the feeling of alientaion.

We have been having great weather the past few days in Southern California... Sunny warm - but not hot... but I miss snow over the holidays... I went to a "brown" Holiday Parade and it could have used a little bit of snow to spruce up the holiday spirit...

So here is warm sun from Cali - for anyone who needs a little warmth today...
