Hello everyone, I come from Moonachie N.J. with a population of about 2,754 with 1,074 housing units; a land area of 1.73 sq. miles and a population density of 1,596.50 people per sq. mile. We are 2 miles North of the Meadowlands and about 9 miles from Manhattan, N.Y..
Another fund-raiser idea that also gives training to firefighters.
There might be abandoned or condemned buildings in your area. Advertise that for a small fee, (depending on income maybe you can do it for free), your department will come do a controlled burn, setting the place on fire for the customer to get the condemned building burned down.
Building a cabin in a small town with a VFD, in EAST TAWAKONI Texas. :) When we move there permanently next year we intend to help the ETVFD raise funds!!
hey, from Mirboo North, (south eastern) Victoria, Australia. Full vol brigade with about 30-35 active members. The town is 2500 people approx and back up 8 or so other brigades, we are the biggest brigade in our area and run a pumper, tanker, rescue/salvage also have a 4X4 support vehicle and trailer pump. Closest back up is 30- 45 minutes away on a good day depending on where the job is at. Can make for a long stressful wait if you need water in a hurry.
Chesapeake City has population of approx. 790 people and 232 Acres. I think we make the list for small town firefighter. LOL... Its Great to hear ideas and concerns from others in the group!!! (Newbie)

Hi: I do photography with our local department here in the mountains and have completed a book on volunteer firefighters having spent two years doing the photography and text. Would be interested in any comments. The book, Unsung Heroes, can be seen at....Blurb.com... and on their site search for Bill Gillette. It was an honor for me to have access to do the book. You all are a great bunch and the public needs to know and appreciate all you do. Bill Gillette
FREE National Clearinghouse for Firefighting Equipment
Chiefs or equipment officers who need gear, apparatus, or
anything else used in firehouse operations can visit the site,
post what they are looking for so that chiefs or equipment
officers can find you and pass on their out of service but still
serviceable gear.
Chiefs and equipment officers who have taken things out of
service and would like to have the gear used by other firefighters
can visit the site, post what it is they have and be easily found by
those who might put it to good use.
The site is FREE to use by both sides. The arrangements made
for transfer are between the transferring companies. We suspect
that there are times when gear will be transferred without any
money changing hands. And sometimes there will be sales.
We want two things. We want firefighters to have what they need.
We want those who use the site to look at how we are funding this
effort and to take the time to look at the information about how the
Pre-Paid Legal Services, Inc.’s Life Events Legal Plan can help
every firefighter and the firefighter’s family.
Good Day,

disposal from your kind department . That we would put into good use in
voluntary service to fight fires and respond to emergency/ disaster
& Calamity calls not only in Valenzuela City, but for the rest of
Metro Manila and nearby provinces as the need arises for FREE.
Our volunteer group would like to expand our voluntary services as a
