The Attala County Fire Department, Central, Ethel and McCool were called to a house fire on Attala Road 2215. The home is owned by a Brunt. They were notified that there was possible one person inside the home. State Fire Marchall and County Investigators was called to the scene at 8:19 am. We believe there to be one fatality. The fire was contained at 8:24. We will update you when more information is made available to us and the family is notified. UPDATE: Attala County Coroner Sam Bell tells KOL that Mrs. Lorell Brunt, 92 year old white female, was the victim of the fatal house fire. Bell says the cause of death is pending an autopsy in Jackson. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the State Fire Marchall, County Fire investigator, Attala Fire and Sheriff's Department.
