Wow. I agree with you guys. No doubt these guys are top notch but lots of safety issues with this video.

Lets not open up the vol. v s. fulltime guys these are awesome talented f/fs but the fact remains we need these guys ALIVE. so safety first and use that air! WE ARE ALL FULLTIME PROFFESIONALS . THERE CAN BE NO SUCH THING AS PART TIME PROFFESSIONALS!!!

The officer being able to pick his firefighters from the entire Bn is awesome. I would have liked that when I was in charge of Rescue 1. I admire the courage of the guys, however, I do agree with Tim that some safety violations occured. Mostly not wearing and USING SCBA. After the law suits FDNY has had due to respiratory problems I was surprised that this wasn't enforced more closely.

It amazes me how FDNY and this site could allow this vidio to be shown, I have counted more than ten violations of safety in the clip. As a training officer for more than 20 years I am appalled at the lack of safety that was shown. We as Volunteers would suspend firefighters for these violations.
