BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Buffalo's bravest had their hands full at a vacant but cluttered house on the city's west side.

The fire erupted around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday, in the first floor of a Breckenridge Street home, leaving it a total loss.

Firefighters say they had plenty of obstacles.

"Yeah, put a lot of smoke out, I'm not sure exactly what was burning, probably furniture inside," said Buffalo Fire Department Division Chief Don McFeely. "Just looks like abandoned stuff, all kinds of junk. But it burns good."

Investigators are questioning neighbors to try and figure out what caused the fire.

No one was hurt.
