I perfer both. In the morning time I like to sit and wait. But sometime around mid morning I need to get up and starte walking. And yes you're right you do see more game when you walk.
I DO BOTH, When I was living in NY probably half the deer I got was while I was walking around, but now down here is South Carolina it is hard to walk the brush is so thick you can't barely crawl thru it, and for the first few years here I didn't get a single deer last year I started sitting and waiting and I ended up with 9 deer by seasons end all by sitting by butt still. The deer here spook so much faster due to the high hunting pressure and the long season Sept-Jan in ny we had what 3-4 weeks. Besides to many damn snakes around here LOL!
I have a issue with sitting still also, hense why pheasant huntings my primo time in the outdoors. For deer hunting, I have seen more deer stalking, but my big old size 12 clod hoppers make way too much damn noise to be effectual. More times than not I see deer on the way to my stand than I will all season in my stand. Go figure....
